Marijn Schenk je holandski arhitekta i suosnivač NEXT Architects, međunarodnog arhitektonskog biroa sa sjedištima u Amsterdamu i Pekingu. Diplomirao je sa pohvalama na Tehničkom univerzitetu u Delftu, gdje je 2000. godine zajedno sa Bartom Reuserom osvojio prestižnu nagradu Archiprix za projekt Het Gelaagde Land. Marijn Schenk je poznat po projektima koji integrišu funkcionalnu infrastrukturu sa urbanim prostorom, sa naglaskom na društvene i ekološke aspekte. On ističe važnost multidisciplinarne saradnje i vjeruje da arhitektura treba povezivati ljude, prostor i svrhu. Od 2017. godine, Schenk obavlja funkciju gradskog arhitekte u Amstelveenu, gdje daje savjete o urbanom razvoju i očuvanju kulturne baštine. Njegov rad i projekti NEXT Architects prepoznati su u međunarodnim publikacijama poput WIRED, Monocle, Financial Times i CNN, a biro je nominovan za prestižne nagrade, uključujući NRP Gulden Feniks i Dutch Design Award.

Marijn Schenk is a Dutch architect and co-founder of NEXT Architects, an international architectural firm with offices in Amsterdam and Beijing. He graduated with honors from Delft University of Technology, where in 2000, together with Bart Reuser, he won the prestigious Archiprix award for the project Het Gelaagde Land. Schenk is known for projects that integrate functional infrastructure with urban spaces, emphasizing social and ecological aspects. He highlights the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration and believes architecture should connect people, space, and purpose. Since 2017, Schenk has served as the city architect of Amstelveen, advising on urban development and cultural heritage preservation. His work and NEXT Architects’ projects have been featured in international publications such as WIRED, Monocle, Financial Times, and CNN, and the firm has been nominated for prestigious awards, including the NRP Gulden Feniks and Dutch Design Award.
